AbstractAppendicitis is an acute in flammation of the appendix that can lead to an abscess, ileus, peritonitis, or death. Appendicitis is the most common abdominal surgical emergency, with a lifetime risk of approximately 3.18 per 1000 per year in 1st year, 4.17 per 1000 per year in second and 3.85 per 1000 per year in 3rd year. Hence, it remained almost stable during the study period of 3 years.
