Abstract
The modern Indian woman is an object of admiration by people of the rest of the world, for the role she plays in the country’s public life as well as for certain qualities that she seems to posses in greater measure than woman of other cultures. “Women in India have not only but also got equal political and civil rights as men without having to fight for them, they have been increasingly joining the higher ranks of administration and the various other public services and acquainting themselves with credit”.
Women in India have attained greater freedom and equality on par with men in all walks of life proving themselves to be important resources for the development of the society and mankind. They are entering into every sphere of human activity with courage and conviction and also contributing for the enrichment of the society as well as themselves.  Today we find women ambassadors, women cabinet ministers, women engineers, doctors, lawyers and administrators of highest caliber, Aviators, scientists, Astronauts etc., proving their excellence and eminence in whatever activity they under take.
